CNN —José Raúl Mulino, a rightwing former public security minister, was declared the “unofficial” winner of Panama’s presidential election on Sunday, the country’s electoral court confirmed. “I receive with joy these results, which are the will of the majority of the Panamanian people in our democracy, which I assume with great responsibility and humility as a Panamanian,” Mulino said during his victory speech. He originally ran as the vice-presidential candidate of former President Ricardo Martinelli. CNN —The wife of Haiti’s former President Jovenel Moïse, Martine Moïse, and the former prime minister Claude Joseph are among 51 people who have been indicted over the assassination of the former president, according to a 122-page document from the judge presiding over the investigation. Mrs. Moïse was also shot multiple times but survived. The judge called for the arrest and trials of those charged. Haiti's former prime minister Claude Joseph in Port-au-Prince in July 2021. The prime minister has no direct relationship with the examining magistrate, nor does he control him.
